White rice is the basis of Brazilian food and is consumed almost daily by most people. But to get out of the obvious and make the table more fun, how about testing the rice with turmeric? With small changes in the original recipe, you will serve a super tasty, creative and colorful dish!

How to make rice with saffron

Heat a pan with the olive oil, add onion, garlic and sauté, stirring until lightly golden. Add the rice, sauté for a short time and add the turmeric, pea, salt and a pinch of black pepper. Add water to the rice until it covers the entire surface of the grain. Bring to a boil with the lid semi open and when the water evaporates, cover the pan and lower the heat, cooking for another 25 minutes. Then just serve!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • ½ chopped onion
  • 1 chopped garlic tooth
  • 2 cups of white rice
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric kitano
  • 1 can of drained pea
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • Black black pepper powder to taste
  • Filtered water
